Ponteland First School Parent Teacher Association

 The Parent Teacher association (PTA) is a group of parents and teacher representatives whose aim is to raise money to support the school through a variety of fund raising events. Over the years we have tried to make the events as enjoyable and varied as possible. Some of the most recent fund raisers include;

                                 Christmas and Summer fairs

                                A restaurant night

                                Quiz nights

                                An auction

                                Half termly cake stalls

                                A children’s disco

 

Last year, through the hard work and generosity in time of volunteers and helpers we raised approximately £13,000 which was spent on interactive white boards and digital cameras for the classrooms. As a result, we have helped get an interactive whiteboard into every classroom in the school.

 

This year we hope to raise even more money. Our target is to raise enough money to be able to buy a new non-fiction library to help support the move to the new school.

 

I’m sure you will agree we have been able to make a positive contribution towards school over the past years. However, without the help of parents coming along and supporting these events we would not be able to achieve any of this.
